I'm trying to optimize the amount of resources I'm using so there's a 1:1 of stuff mined to stuff produced, ie. no excess interstage material. To do that, I need precise quantities of materials (exactly 40 iron ore per minute, etc). The way I'm using splitters and mergers is to divide and add material flows to get the amounts I want exactly.
